Frank Traynor (b. 1985, Miami) is an artist and designer currently based in Los Angeles. His work moves fluidly between conceptual inquiry and functional design, often engaging humor, improvisation, and the social life of objects.
Traynor is known for The Perfect Nothing Catalog, a 2012 project initiated from a found shack in upstate New York that he later relocated to Brooklyn. Conceived as a hybrid between storefront, exhibition space, and performative gesture, the project examined how public-facing objects accrue meaning through use, context, and exchange. His current body of work extends these concerns, foregrounding adaptability, wit, and an ongoing investigation into how objects circulate in everyday life.
