Hilliary Gabryel
Hilliary Gabryel (b. 1991, Lynchburg, Virginia) received her BFA and Post Baccalaureate Certificate from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2013. She is a founding member of MATERIAL GIRLS collective (2016–present). Recent solo exhibitions include Bedroom Eyes at Mrs. (Queens, New York) and Side Sleeper at Montclair State University Gallery (Montclair, New Jersey). Her work has been presented in group exhibitions at Duke Hall Gallery Fine Art (James Madison University, Virginia); Random Access Gallery (Syracuse University, New York); 5-50 Gallery, Paradice Palase, SPRING/BREAK (Brooklyn, New York); Felix Art Fair, Tiger Strikes Asteroid (Los Angeles, California); Mass Gallery, MOHA (Austin, Texas); Sweet Pass Sculpture Park (Dallas, Texas); Main Projects (Richmond, Virginia). Residencies and awards include the Tallichet Freedman Foundation Grant; Shandaken: Storm King; Queens; Art Fund New Work Grant; Vermont Studio Center Fellowship; and Wassaic Project Guest Residency.
