Ensayos: at the End of the World

Christy Gast is taking part in a new 3-year residency program that brings artists and scientists together in Tierra del Fuego. Initiated by Chilean-American curator Camila Marambio, , Ensayos is a research residency based at WCS Karukinka Natural Park in Chilean Patagonia through which artists, scientists, and neighbors contemplate and engage issues relevant to conservation. Christy working with a creative research group including a curator, two anthropologists and a biologist, who are approaching the very interesting problem of Canadian Beavers, a destructive invasive species on the island.
