HER days were divided between the cool radiance of her palace in the city and the rustic calm of her olive groves and villa near Antella. Seldom seen and never photographed, her friends admired her mysterious ability to make the birds sing louder and the sun shine brighter. Summer turned. Hours like ice cream, days all dawn, weeks crowning the season with golden sun. Paradise was regained.
