Under the simple title Judy Chicago in Glass, the Nina Johnson Gallery is about to host an exhibition focused on lesser known glass production of the pioneering feminist artist, Judy Chicago. It will showcase her glass series, including the debut of Mortality in Glass, the artist’s largest glass work ever, a selection of drawings, and Zig Zag, the recently produced powder-coated steel edition of the initial minimalist sculpture made in 1965. For more than a decade, Chicago has experimented with glass by combining it with other techniques, and this exhibition will accentuate her approach in terms of shaping the glass and producing new forms.

The exhibition Judy Chicago in Glass will be on view at Nina Johnson Gallery from November 30th, 2021 to January 15th, 2022.
